At Peninsula Volleyball Academy, we are committed to building a positive, high-energy training environment where athletes are challenged, supported, and inspired to grow. Our program focuses on accountability, consistency, and fostering a strong work ethic, helping athletes develop confidence, resilience, and a passion for the game.

Backed by a coaching team with firsthand experience playing at the collegiate and university levels, we bring knowledge, perspective, and a competitive edge to every session.

MEET YOUR COACH

Claire Liaros is a passionate and dedicated volleyball coach based on the Saanich Peninsula, with over 10 years of coaching experience developing athletes of all skill levels. She is the Head Coach and Coordinator of Peninsula Volleyball Academy and also coaches with the Peninsula Spirfires Volleyball Club, bringing a strong background in athlete development, teamwork, and leadership to every practice.

As a former volleyball athlete with the Camosun Chargers, Claire brings firsthand competitive experience and a strong understanding of the game to her coaching.

Claire focuses on creating a positive, supportive environment where athletes can build confidence, refine their skills, and develop a love for the game. Her coaching style emphasizes fundamentals, communication, and growth both on and off the court.

VOLLEYBALL DEVELOPMENT CLINIC

Learn and develop your volleyball skills in a positive, engaging environment. All skill levels welcome - whether you're new to the sport or have some experience. Participants will develop skills such as serving, passing, setting and spiking, all while learning important team work, communication and sportsmanship lessons. Focus will be on building a strong foundation and fundamentals, while also providing opportunity for advanced training. Each session will include game play - for the opportunity to put practice into action!

SUMMER VOLLEYBALL CAMP

WHEN: July 22-July 24, 2026; 10:00AM-2:00PM

AGES: 11-14

Build your volleyball skills, confidence and love for the game in this three-day camp! Participants will learn and improve through engaging drills focused on passing, serving, setting and hitting, then have opportunity to put practice into action with game play! Our coaching team includes former college athletes and current high-performance players who bring experience and enthusiasm to every session.

All skill levels welcome, from beginners to experienced players looking to improve their game!

ADVANCED VOLLEYBALL CLINIC

WHEN: August 9- August 23, 2026; Sundays; 4:00-5:30 PM

AGES: 15-17

This program is designed for athletes aged 15–17 with previous volleyball experience who are looking to refine skills and improve game understanding.

Each session will begin with skill development and drills. After the skill development portion, the session will transition to 45-60 minutes of game play, where players can apply what they’ve learned in a more competitive environment. Game play helps to reinforce teamwork, communication and game strategy, while providing players the chance to engage in friendly competition and develop their match-play experience.

Join us for Volleyball Social Game Play! Registration required.

Players of all skill levels who are comfortable with fundamental skills and basics of volleyball are welcome. Each session consists of three 25-minute games, allowing players opportunity to compete against different teams. All equipment provided.

ADULT VOLLEYBALL TRAIN AND PLAY

WHEN: June 7 - June 21, 2026; Sundays; 4:00-5:30 PM

Designed for adults who want to improve their skills in a structured, supportive, and energetic environment.

Each session will combine technical skill development, positional awareness, and game play. Athletes will work on serving, passing, setting, attacking, and defensive systems through high-repetition drills and game-like scenarios. Sessions are designed to keep players moving, learning, and getting meaningful touches on the ball.

Participants will receive coaching feedback throughout the session, with a focus on building consistency, confidence, and stronger decision-making on the court. Gameplay will be structured to reinforce systems and encourage competitive but positive play.
